It is FINALLY time! As in all previous years, we will have two threads per tailgate...ahem, per game. One will be the Menu & Attendance thread, and one will be the Social Discussion thread.
M&A is reserved for all things food related, and if you intend on being there. The SD thread (THIS ONE) is reserved for general silliness and revelry. Or should it be Reveille for this game?

One week away!!!!
Not sure what the weather will be yet, but since this weekend is nice and cool, that probably means gameday will be a bajillionity degrees. At 7PM.

Duke Football’s season opening game on Friday, August 31 will feature a variety of special events. The Blue Devils will hold a pregame flyover, host a halftime concert and honor Durham community members as part of Durham Night.

Fans for the 7 p.m. kickoff are encouraged to be in their seats early to not miss the ceremonial multi-aircraft flyover, which should take place around 6:45 p.m. A Bandit Flight Team of CJ-6 and Yak-52 Aircrafts will fly in formation.

Nice to have these as part of the pre-game and halftime festivities. Let's see how they f/up the parking situation and how long delays are getting to our lots/tents. Obviously not expecting intelligent and/or common sense decisions/plans/actions here based on past experiences.

Weather report still calling for PM Thunderstorms with a 45% chance of rain. I choose to view that as a 55% chance it will not rain but ponchos will be packed in the Green family car.

Weather forecast keeps getting better. Started out at 60% rain chance.
We park in B5. Going to try to get in early (shortly after 4). Hope it works.
