Hand-healing vibes to Mom

Post by DukePA » January 16th, 2018, 7:47 pm

Mom tripped over the dog and thought she broke 2 fingers, but it's actually her hand that is fractured. She's still at the ER at Duke and it took them forever to cut her wedding ring off her finger. Waiting to hear what's next. :(

It was a very long day . Urgent care, after 2 1/2 hours couldn’t cut the ring off. I went to the ER and was there 7 hours before it was cut off. A pediatrician did it. He also put a splint on. I will have to go back Monday to have a pin put under my skin. I got back to the lake at 11:30.

Oh, VDB, I hope that you are healing quickly and that you are not in a lot of pain.

Just found this thread! Yikes! Nancy, Nancy, Nancy! So sorry to hear of your calamity. Which hand is it? (Oh never mind -- it had to be your left with all the problem with the ring, duh.) When this is all over, I hope you get a band new ring with a big fat diamond on top for all your trouble!!!

I guess by now you already know you have more bones in your hand than in the rest of your body. How many broke?

Healing cyber vibes and hugs to you and your handsome "nurse". :ymhug:
