Spring Practice discussion

Spring practice will commence on Friday February 3 concluding with the Spring Showcase on March 4.

Under the direction of head coach David Cutcliffe, the Duke football team will open spring practice on Friday at the Brooks Practice Facility.

It will reach almost 80 degrees this week, so practice will go from Winter to Summer and skip Spring. Ready for September!

I'm sure everyone has already heard the news but I'll post it here anyway, Coach Cut has dismissed DE Marquis Price (#91) and DT Brandon Boyce (#55) for failure to maintain program standards. This is a hit to our defensive line but another example the program has high standards.

Jeremy McDuffie tied the school record (51-11.75) in the triple jump at the Penn Relays:

At the final day of the Penn Relays, sophomore Jeremy McDuffie continued to excel as a member of the track & field squad with his school record tying performance at the Penn Relays in the triple jump. McDuffie notched fourth place with a leap of 51-11.75 (15.84) to match Jade Ellis' mark set in 2009.
