My kitchen is almost entirely boxed up. Monday they come tear out my cabinets. Then some drywall....and the following Monday new cabinets (all of which are in my garage right now) go in. Hope I have a counter top by Christmas. Also replacing the flooring in the living/dining/kitchen an hall.
What fun. or not

Good luck!
I'm contemplating some changes to my kitchen, also. I want a new refrigerator and the new ones are all taller than the current space allows. Looking for alternatives.

Funny you say that, that is what inspired this entire project. I had to cut my above refrigerator cabinet to get the new fridge in one old one died. We had been talking about remodeling the kitchen but getting three daughters to college and a couple of weddings along the way and it just kept getting moved to the bottom of the list. Just now on the top of the list.

Nina did the kitchen two years ago. We're working on the master bath now. New shower enclosure went in yesterday. Sinks/vanity and fixtures after Thanksgiving.

Demo has commenced. It will take them less time to remove the old cabinets than it took me to get them emptied!

We survived a kitchen redo at Stately Turk Manor over the summer; our first big-ticket project. Pleased with the result, although my head still hurts and sometimes I have nightmares about the 1,283 choices for drawer pulls and the 479 choices for spigots we had to wade through. "Are you SURE you don't want painted white cabinets? They're really trending right now!" (um, yes, we are still quite sure, just like the first seven or eight times you asked).
Logistics weren't too bad. Mrs Turk cooked up a lot and put it in the downstairs freezer, used the grill, etc. Using laundry sink for dishes not the worst thing in the world.
Hope the project goes well; it will be worth it!
