Well this game is now much more interesting. Both teams are coming off one point victories over ranked teams. Ours was home vs the #17 cheaters, Pitt's was in Death Valley vs #2 Clemson. (Way not to blow it, Blewitt!)
Pitt is now guaranteed to go bowling, we need to win out. Bright side for us, Pitt may be on such a high of elation that their next game is a let down. Well, the same thing could be predicted for us, but I really like the arc of our play lately. It all came together Thursday night, so let's hope we continue to improve, despite our losses due to injury, for two (three!) more games.
Has to start this Saturday at three. LGD!

On 9/28/1974, Purdue beat #1 Notre Dame 31-20. The following week (10/5/1974), Duke beat Purdue 16-14. I was in Wallace Wade Stadium cheering like crazy.
We can beat Pitt!

RIP Gramps.
I wish we'd use those same helmets we had against the Heels...I liked those AND the results.

Pitt defense is dead last in ACC relinquishing 35.2 points per game. There offense is very good scoring 37.6 ppg, which is 3rd in ACC.
Bottom line: Our offense must be efficient in executing long, time consuming, points producing drives which keep Pitt's offense off the field.
QB Nathan Peterman and RB James Conner are very good. Knowles must dial up the blitz packages while simultaneously keeping Conner in check. Big challenge.

That was embarrassing. I am not feeling very optimistic this morning so I'll apologize in advance for the negativity.
1. Our receivers are not good. They cannot create separation and they drop passes that hit them in the hands.
2. Our secondary is worse. Opponent's receivers catch passes without a defender within 5-7 yards of them.
3. Shaun Wilson has a propensity to fumble. He did it twice yesterday. I'm a huge Shaun Wilson fan but he kills us when he fumbles.

That fucking sucked. I have no interest in a 5-7 season bowl.

Yeah, yesterday sucked out loud, so I choose to stay focused on November 10th. GTHc. 'Nuff said.
