It's tailgate time, anyone hungry?

Most of you know the drill but, for those of you just joining us, let me 'splain the basics:

• This thread is where you can inform others of your intentions to attend and with how many guests. You can also post here if you would like to contribute a dish (or dishes) to the gastronomic orgy which is the TBCC tailgate or, just take the simple route and generously feed the Tip Jar.
• Please, only post items you're bringing to share. If you're just bringing beverages and/or food for you and your party then there's no need to post that in this thread.
• Because we need to insure we're bringing/preparing enough food for all whom attend, if your plan is to just donate $, please make your intentions (and the number in your party) known as soon as possible.
• If you are bringing food that needs "grill time" (i.e. to be reheated/cooked), make that information known in your post.

...Okay, back to the NCCU game- For this tailgate we’re gonna’ try to serve the main courses around 3:30-4pm. Of course, they'll be stuff to eat from around mid-day forward, as you can see below, so come early and stay late-- we do!



As always I'll keep updating this post with more weather and attendance information as we move through the week.

TBCC (9.5 total);
Lunch/Appetizers: ABTs, Wings, Mexican Cheese Dip* (Queso Blanco) & Chips, Foot long Costco hot-dogs;
Main Course: Roasted turkeys, Spaghetti in Spicy Garlic Oil;
Sides: Baked beans, Cucumber-Tomato Salad;
Desserts: Oatmeal Raisin Bars, Pecan Pie Cheesecakes, Chocolate Chip cookies, Brown Sugar cookies, Peach Cobbler;
Beverages: Iced Tea, Water, SBMs

CowboyDevil (solo or with friends with $$) - TrueBlue Chicken, Golden Taters

Bob Green (+3) - $$
Ozzie (+1) - $$ plus possibly a salad
CathyCA (+2) - $$

Well here we are entering a new season. A season full of anticipation and excitement.

As part of the TBCC, I will be cooking my TrueBlueChicken, and Golden Taters! And assisting as much as possible!!!

Since, my girls are now at App. St., I will be flying solo!!! With the possibility of some friends stopping in with Dead Presidents for the Jar!!!

I hope every one had a great summer!!!

TNT, CB&B and Cowboy, I'll mail your parking passes/drop off passes tomorrow (Sunday) so y'all should have them by Tuesday. I have one more drop off pass - Dave, do you want it again this year or does anyone else want/need one? If so, you'll need to decide/let me know Sunday as I'll be OOT (out of town) all week and can't mail it out in time. For this game anyway.

Dave gets the pass. I will mail the first game passes and bring the rest of the seasons' passes with me on Saturday. Chris, I'll mail yours with Tim's as usual unless you say different in the next few minutes!

As a reminder to new members and guests, the recommended cash jar contribution is $10 (or more!) per person, even if you're bringing something, like we will with the tomato salad. Young/small kids are free, but teenagers count as you total your contribution! And if you eat like Kenny Dennard, it's double! Just kidding iDog, you're always welcome!

Allen and Maureen. Dan (though probably not until half-time). Big Sam will not be making it - now that he is a college graduate he has a real job and can't travel back from Wilmington for the game. He hopes to be here for the Wake Forest game.

We will supply cash.

We hope to see Tim in new sartorial splendor - an outfit he specifically requested and that the good folks at Amazon were happy to deliver.

We will miss the opening game, but will be giving our tickets to some Duke alums who will cheer loudly in the stands.

We're now up to 6. The additional 2 friends of Claire and David John know to bring $$. Claire and DJ will contribute legal tender, too. I'll bring their tasting contribution. Joy and I still talking about which fine comestible to contribute.

I'm now not sure of our schedule for Saturday. Dependent on the rapidly failing health of a sweet old lady and what plans her family makes for her memorial service. Will be in Durham if at all possible, but right now I just don't know.
