I watched the last 45 minutes of the scrimmage after getting home from Zeke's baseball game. Taking into account the zero-sum game nature of an intra squad scrimmage, here are a few observations:
1. QB play did not look good.
2. Redshirt freshman linebacker Joe Giles-Harris (#44) did look good. He looks like a real player returning an interception for a touchdown.
3. Redshirt freshman defensive end Twazanga Mugala (#94) looked good.
4. Redshirt sophomores Trevon Lee (#84) and Chris Taylor (#82) were very active at wide receiver.
5. Shaun Wilson (#29) was one of several players rotating as punt returners. There were no active punt returns, just a returner fielding the ball and initiating his return against no defenders. The coaching staff must be looking at punt return duties as another option to getting Wilson the ball in open space to take advantage of his speed and elusive running style.
This team is going to be young in some key areas and the defense is going to have to step up and be dominant as the offense appears behind. QB play is a question mark...shit tell it the way it is...QB play is a potential liability and the offensive line has been banged up throughout spring practice, which is not a good combination.

Great to hear Dave Harding's chatter. Love that guy. I wish he could be in the booth. Maybe someday.
