Good to hear!!!!Bob Green wrote:Coach Cutcliffe stated practice will begin on Saturday. He said the team will prepare hard, will hit and will scrimmage as part of the preparation process. Lots of players have been playing hurt, not injured but not 100 percent healthy. The objective will be to get everyone as healthy as possible.
I agree with him 100 percent. A team can have a poorly ranked rushing defense or a poorly ranked passing defense or whatever, but if they are not giving up a lot of points that is what matters. It's where the rubber meets the road. Bend but don't break! Unfortunately, Duke broke in the Carolina game, 2nd half of Pitt game and 1st half of Virginia game.Because bottom line is scoring defense, I don't care how you slice it all other stuff doesn't matter, it's how many points are you giving up.
My bet is on Scotty to stay around until Dec 28 and be the play caller for that game. Cut=loyalty and all that jazz.CameronBornAndBred wrote:So...who will be calling the offense during the bowl game?
He's not setting up shop in Greenville til the 1st.devildeac wrote:My bet is on Scotty to stay around until Dec 28 and be the play caller for that game. Cut=loyalty and all that jazz.CameronBornAndBred wrote:So...who will be calling the offense during the bowl game?
Smart, intelligent move. Continuity and not trying to institute something new/disruptive in 2 weeks of practice before the bowl game although I heard Ozzie was available as interim OC, depending on the amount of pastrami and/or corned beef involved.CameronBornAndBred wrote:He's not setting up shop in Greenville til the 1st.devildeac wrote:My bet is on Scotty to stay around until Dec 28 and be the play caller for that game. While I AM looking to some fresh calling next year (please be fresh), I like that Scottie will be with us in New York.

Coach Cutcliffe has said that Scottie will be calling the plays on the 26th. Scottie begins at ECU on January 1.DevilWearsPrada2.0 wrote:Will Scottie be around for the Bowl Game????????? I would have totally expected that to be a Havahd site.Bob Green wrote:Indiana fansite is http://www.crimsonquarry.com I've posted in the comments section of the game preview article discussing our running and passing games, and our defensive woes rushing the passer. I'm going to post about our special teams a little later.
Friendly posts from a couple more Duke fans might liven up the conversation if anyone is interested in jumping in and adding to my commentary.
Yea, they really should call their site "HoosierDaddy" or something like that .CameronBornAndBred wrote:I would have totally expected that to be a Havahd site.Bob Green wrote:Indiana fansite is http://www.crimsonquarry.com I've posted in the comments section of the game preview article discussing our running and passing games, and our defensive woes rushing the passer.
