For all you children out there, be sure to thank your mothers today, too.

Re: Happy Father's Day
Happy Father's Day to all the dads and grandpas in the group, but most especially to my dad. As you may know, my mom has frontotemporal dementia with Alzheimer's. She is completely bedridden and cannot talk. My dad is her full-time caregiver, and thankfully he has some assistance. After 70+ years he has learned to cook. He went from being the one tracking mud on the carpets to being the one chewing out the kids for getting the floor dirty. He has stepped up more than any of us could've imagined. I'm thankful every day for him and the example he has set for everyone in our family.
Most people say that is it is the intellect which makes a great scientist. They are wrong: it is character.

Re: Happy Father's Day
Here's hoping all our CTN Dads, Grandpas, Furbaby Dads had a wonderful Father's Day! We spent it with the ID Grands/daughter/SIL up north where I taught the grandson the all important game of cribbage! He proceeded to beat me every single game! From Football to cribbage - he's an Ace!
