Re: Bull City BBQ Classic
The classic was lots of fun, we really enjoyed both the location and the crowd. We won't know how we did until they email scores; we only know that we didn't place in the top 3.
It was HOT on Saturday. The cook next to us actually had to be taken to the hospital after having a seizure, we watched him go down. Very scary. His wife said he was ok, and that the doctors think it was heat related. We never saw him drinking fluids, and that was a prime thing to do that day.
We debuted our newest tent. TNT found a really great pop-up at Tractor Supply; it's a 10 x 20 that goes up in all of 5 minutes, and comes down just as fast. As you'll see from the photos, it's a lovely Duke brown. No worries, we have plans to Dukeify and footballify the canopy with some creative artwork. Having that 10 x 20, and our other two 10 x 10s was a blessing, having 400 sq feet of shade was very nice.

Dang, that looks good!
You know, some white paint for seams and the tent would make a lovely football.

Got scores today, placed 8th in ribs, 11th in cue. That works. Any day we stay in the top half is a good day.
