It is not an April Fools Day joke. Here is some standard weather satellite imagery (dated 2 April) that shows how massive the storm is as it approaches the Philippines:

That looks scary and would cause massive damage.

We can hope this takes a turn and moves out to the ocean somewhere. Meanwhile may all your family be safe!
