This year has so many shades of 2010, loving this team!
To celebrate our being in Indy again (and prognosticate a happy ending), I sing you this song...
On his Twelfth Final Four, Duke's Coach K Gave to Me...
12 Cheerleaders Dancing
11 Threes a Raining
10 Times Jah's a Jamming
9 Ashley Judd Tears a Falling
8 Scholarships Playing
7 Seeds a Leaving
6 Fast Breaks Breaking
5 CHAMPIONSHIP RIIIINNNGS!!!!!!
4 Maturing Freshmen
3 Head Coaches Crying
2 Guards a Driving
and another ornament for our Duke tree!
Duke born, Duke bred, cooking on a grill so I'm tailgate fed.

I realize chances are slim, but what would it do for K's legacy if Duke beat Kentucky for his fifth championship, thus ending a second bid for perfection like in his first championship run against UNLV? Coach 1K, Giantslayer!

I would simply enjoy crushing Kentucky's hopes and dreams. Again.

Would they stop hating Laettner and start hating Krzyzewski?

Nah, they'll hate whichever player transcends his limitations and exceeds even his own expectations to rip it from their grasp.

It would be better if they just hated themselves...

KY fans are hateful losers, obnoxious winners and generally the most rude fans I've ever run across! I personally think it's genetic. GO BUCKY!

You've got THAT right, ID. I remember the time we went to the tournament in Maui. Ky was there with us that year. That's that really tiny, high schoolish gym that only seats a few. Each team was allotted the same number of tickets. We could't figure out how Ky was filling the place with so many more people than anybody else--that is until we saw they were opening the windows at the top of the bleachers and dropping their wrist bands out to the waiting hands of Cat fans waiting below. Jerks.
Love, Ima
PS Duke won anyway.

Correct... unfortunately, I live in the midst of it.

I'm still doing that dance, myself!
South Regional Championship shirt has been purchased. I went with the same "Cut the Net" shirt that the team was wearing in Houston. If it's good enough for my team, it's good enough for me.

The game is still on my DVR. I have watched the last 10 minutes several times. It never gets old.
