Re: Brandon Connette's mom
This was posted on her CaringBridge page earlier today:
My name is Catherine Hall, and I write to you on behalf of the family...
It’s been a long, challenging journey. For Nancy, the journey is complete and she is in peace.
We wanted to share with all of you that Nancy Way Connette lost her battle against cancer, but lives in victory with her Lord, Jesus Christ. Saturday night, Nancy was surrounded by family and friends, when she passed away. Her death was peaceful, just like her beautiful spirit in life. Like most of you, we’ve prayed and hoped for a miraculous healing of our dear wife, mother, daughter, sister, relative and friend. Instead, God cared for her by taking her out of this broken and painful world. We are so grateful that she is no longer in pain. And we want to thank each of you for your prayers and care for the whole family.
Nancy’s death still feels somewhat unreal. And, it feels almost unbearable for some who loved her. So, please keep her family and friends in your prayers. Jesus said, “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” We are counting on this promise, because only God can heal and comfort these grieving hearts. Nancy’s faith was absolute. She touched countless lives in a quiet and graceful way that pointed to our loving God. She knew God intimately, and trusted that He was with her on this challenging journey. Nancy believed God was performing miracles, even if she was not healed. And, she was right. God taught, challenged and enabled each of us daily. As the family may be moving to a new home, I trust that God will continue to comfort, strengthen and guide them.
