Credit where credit is due

When the weatherman (or woman) says that it will start snowing at 4 pm, they don't really mean it. Sometime around 4, but don't bet the house on it. Well, that was today's forecast for Greensboro. At 3:55 I went outside and there were a few snow flurries, very small pellets more like a drizzle, but white. At 4:00 exactly, it started snowing in earnest. I offer a tip o' the cap to the local weather forecasters!
That said, carolina will definitely be going to HELL on Wednesday evening! I just hope the roads are good enough for us to get to Cameron and witness the event!

Those pictures are rightside up when I post them from my phone. So, in your mind, rotate them 90 degrees clockwise!

I drove the last hour of my drive home in the snow. The streets in my neighborhood are completely covered over now with the forecast saying more snow will fall overnight including heavy snowfall from 10 pm to 1 am. No work for me tomorrow...

Weathermen were correct here too - highs in the low 70s, wind picking up in the evening.

Looks like we got an inch of mixed snow and sleet. With today's forecast high of 37, no way it melts today.

We had 10.1 inches yesterday, and we are expecting another 2-3 inches tomorrow morning. And then the temps will drop.

We had 1-2" accumulation, but in our driveway we had the White Cliffs of Dover!

Weather prediction for Hampton Roads is another 1/2 inch of snow tonight with plummeting temperatures. The predicted high for Thursday is 17 degrees with Friday not being much better. Warmer temperatures are expected over the weekend before more snow arrives on Tuesday and Wednesday next week. I'm so ready for Spring.

It is Tuesday and it is snowing in Hampton Roads. We could see an inch or two accumulation this afternoon/evening and up to 5" on Wednesday night into Thursday.

If the weatherpeople deserved credit last week for predicting when the snow would start, they lost all cred with this morning's event. Just watched the 11:00 news from last night on another program that had the end time extended, and he said "a very slight chance of snow flurries mid day today, but nothing during the night".
