This should be a total and complete blowout. I hope our second (and third strings) see lots of action on Saturday. I am most excited to see how Sirk and Boehme play, and what roles they fill.
Steve Spurrier will be there with the 89 team to be honored during the first half of the game.

Isn't the kickoff at 6P?

Elon's power tailback is out with a broken leg. They utilize three tailbacks so their depth just took a hit.

I think it is pretty awesome that Spurrier will be there on Saturday. Shows he still has massive respect for the program.
This game should definitely be a 40+ point blowout and I am hoping all of our linebackers get many snaps Saturday. They need to build as much in-game chemistry as they can before next weekend against Troy.

Jim Sumner posted game notes at DBR with lots of good info. I'll throw a couple of them up here:
1. Three true freshmen definitely to play against Elon: Wilson (RB), Saxton (CB), Muniz (CB). Carmichael (LB) is a possibility.
2. Thomas Sirk is #2 QB and short yardage guy. Cutcliffe said Sirk is fastest QB he has ever coached.
3. Casey Blaser will start at Right Tackle.

Thanks Bob (and Jim). I am hoping we see Boehme on the field at some point. It should be one of those games that tons of guys see PT.

Also looks like the true freshmen WR's are going to redshirt. I was expecting Trevon Lee to play this year, but it seems like the depth at receiver is very strong this year.

Official injury report will be out later today; however, due to stalking folks via Twitter, I've learned we will have three players listed:
Out for the Season: Kelby Brown, Braxton Deaver
Out: Dan Beilinson
No one will be listed as doubtful, etc....Chris Holmes (LB) is at full speed and ready to play.
It will be interesting to see if this advance intel jives with the official report when it is released.

Actually it is seven:
Out for Season: Brown, Deaver, Taariq Shabazz (DE)
Out: Beilinson, Johnathan Lloyd (CB), Trip McNeill (OL), Jake Sanders (OL)
So the four I din't list earlier are all freshmen so I'll grade my advance intel at B.

Aside from the Brown and Deaver injuries, it really is not a bad injury report. To not have anybody on the depth chart listed at questionable is pretty good after a really intense few weeks of practice. Hopefully it stays this way the rest of the season.

I'll upgrade you to a B+ cuz I had no clue who Shabazz, McNeil and Sanders were and the only one you really missed was Lloyd. But, if you have your tutor write up a short paper, in Swahili, of course, you'll get an A and won't have to provide any more previews
