Electric Ice Cream Maker Request

Post by CameronBornAndBred » August 13th, 2014, 6:50 pm

Joy posted pics of their visit to Ben & Jerry's on Facebook, which prompted me to text DD that he outta make an elegant ice cream float with a stout. His reply was the ice cream is too good for that, but it also got him thinking about homemade ice cream for a tailgate. We can totally do that! Does anyone have an electric ice cream maker they could donate to TNT and I to take to a TG one morning? If we have two or three, we could hopefully make enough for everyone to at least have some to enjoy. And with the amazing power of dry ice, we can keep it frozen. :D

Plus, we could invite Cut as I remember he said he and his family love homemade ice cream.

We'll look for ours and see if it still works.

See if you can get Cut's recipes. He says they're the best!

I have a hand-crank one that is probably 75 years old, but I'm way too lazy to use it (it does look pretty though).

Dang, allen, that's even older than you are ;;) .

Bring it and we'll give it a try. As an old stereo add used to say, "if you can't crank it, yank it."

I am NOT hand cranking ice cream. But I'll drink a beer or three while I watch someone else do it. ;)
