And UK does not get another title, whew. I actually like that the game was played by a 7 and 8 seed; that proves that this title is open to any team, just depends on firing your cylinders at the right time.
I bet UCONN goes two for two after the women win tonight. Not my favorite team by a long shot, but congrats to them still.
I hope every player that Cal has jumps ship.

The ending of this season is just getting me even more excited for the start of football season!
And to your point, the fact that the game was a 7/8 really irked me. I'm someone who really doesn't like seeing the national champion be decided by who gets a better matchup in the tournament and who can get hot for 15 minutes of one game. It is really starting to make November-February completely meaningless.
I will much rather enjoy this upcoming college football season. GO DUKE!!!

Would you have felt different if it were Colorado, or Gonzaga? Hell, if it were Gonzaga, the country would have been going nuts. The two teams that happened to be there were ones that people are familiar with. But they didn't have the greatest of regular seasons; they caught fire at the right time. It's part of what makes the tournament so fun. (Although, I could give a rats ass after Duke goes out, in all honesty.
)

By the way, Shabazz Napier is an asshole. Bitching about getting banned. Dude, they banned you because your team didn't go to class.

So when does the banner in chapel hell come down? At least at u-con there were classes for the basketball players not to go to.

I'm glad basketball season is over because it means Winter is over. However, as much as I am counting the days until kick-off (143), I fully intend to enjoy Spring and Summer first, starting with Youth Baseball.

I'm glad it is over, I can pay more attention to baseball. My current hometown is soon to be consumed with the NBA playoffs.

QFE. I've said all along that the UConn is the school that should really be peeved at the scandal being swept under the rug by our washed-out blue neighbors.
