Two point guards (AKA: early speculation)

The point guard position has been troublesome at Duke for a long time now with the exception of Jon Scheyer's remarkable performance in 2009/10. We also got 11 games out of Kyrie Irving. KI could have been special, but he wasn't due to injury.
The arrival of Tyus Jones could be a game changer. Coach K stated recently that Quinn Cook's shooting is his strongest asset. When K hands Jones the ball and shifts Cook to shooting guard we will have two legitimate point guards on the court simultaneously for the first time since Williams and Duhon. I am excited to see how it plays out.
Using conventional basketball terminology because it facilitates organized thought, we should see the following starting line-up in 2014/15:
C: Jahlil Okafor, PF: Amile Jefferson: SF/WG: Rasheed Sulaimon SG: Quinn Cook PG: Tyus Jones
Justise Winslow will start the season as 6th Man but he will challenge to start so I expect Winslow to replace either Sulaimon or Cook by the start of ACC play.

It sure as hell ain't his ball handling skills. ;)

I could like that lineup, although it will be odd seeing TWO freshmen out there on the floor. With Amile and Okafor, our rebounding can't go anywhere but up. Cook is definitely a solid shooter. I really hope we have more of an inside game next year, it will be depressing having 2 tall athletic guys on our roster (MP3 is more athletic than his brothers, I love watching him get up and down the court) and watching them used once again for picks and kickouts to the wings. Hopefully Okafor isn't a foul magnet, but if he is, we do have Marshall and I would love to see him pick up where he left off this year.

Rumors abound that Okafor and T. Jones already have two fouls each and that K AND Daniel Ewing have been T'd up by the ACC supervisor of officials.
