Copied from my recent FB note:

Alabama
Arizona
California (lived in CA for 10 years)
Connecticut
Delaware
Florida
Georgia
Indiana
Maine
Maryland
Massachusetts
Nevada
New Jersey
New York
North Carolina (lived here 37 years)
Ohio
Pennsylvania
Rhode Island
South Carolina
Texas
Virginia
Washington
West Virginia
DC

I've been to 24.

I'm not counting states my folks dragged me through when I was a kid. If I can't remember being there, then they don't count.

If airports counted, I could add the following states: Colorado, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Tennessee and Utah.

Good list. Snap. How did I forget Nevada? Been there multiple times as with Louisiana. Still doesn't change my poll answer though. I've been to the airport in Utah; an interesting fly-in. What airport did you go to in Tennessee?

Only if you stopped and got a refrigerator magnet, coffee mug, or postcard. ;-)

Nashville.

I've lived "next door" to Tennessee for 37 years, and I've never been there, except for that one airplane landing on the way back from California one time.

It'll be easier if I list the states I'm missing. They are:

Maine
Arkansas
Alabama
Minnesota
Wisconsin
Michigan
New Hampshire

So, I've been to 43. I could add Michigan if we counted airports, but I don't count those either. Had to land their due to weather once when I was flying a lot.

We drove across the country several times as a kid, taking different routes each time. My parents always made sure to stop at any touristy things in each state, so we actually got out of the car in every state, probably ate a meal in 90% of them. And, I remember them all, cause I was 7 when we did the first such trip. Plus, I was an AF brat, so we lived in several places.

I guess I could knock off New Hampshire and Main on the same trip. Same with Michigan and MInnesota and Wisconsin.

Did you count DC as a state? If so, I should have included that too. Anyway, we're both at the same number. I'm not gonna read that list and try to figure out which are missing. So, which ones are you missing? Any of them the same as mine?

That's how I was lucky enough to visit so many. My dad would take us on 2 week long hauls in every direction.

Yeah I did, but shouldn't have. So it's really 42 +DC.

Minnesota

Hawaii
Texas
Oklahoma

I had Wisconsin on the list, but remembered my cousins lived in Milwaukee and we visited them there, so that does bring the total to a true 43 +DC

Word around town is that you'll need to bring some DDT and an automatic rifle to fend of the skeeters.
