Ummm....I started having many doubts. WHEW!!!!CameronBornAndBred wrote:I would like to see a quick turnaround, but with an away game. I have no doubt we will handle UVA at home, it's the road games that I would like to have confidence in.
I hope he's right. I will say that even though Rasheed was the star of the game and the hero at the end, it was very much a team effort. I enjoyed the wholesale subs throughout the game; I've never seen that strategy before, and it was fun to watch. I wouldn't stick with it..it does not seem to be the best way to promote chemistry across the board since you are playing the same 5 guys for the most part throughout the whole game, but it worked last night."This has to be the game where we look back (and say) that game versus Virginia is where our guys bonded together and became a real Duke team," -- Amile Jefferson
There are some comments over on DBR re this strategy and Sulaimon. Sulaimon has struggled this year being on the court alongside Parker and Hood. Conventional wisdom says he needs the ball in his hands to create offense. Last night, playing alongside Dawkins, Thornton, Hairston and Plumlee, Sulaimon is offensive option #1.CameronBornAndBred wrote:I enjoyed the wholesale subs throughout the game; I've never seen that strategy before, and it was fun to watch.
And interestingly, he was the one who got left in during the changeups. I haven't bothered to look at the minutes, but I did notice at least twice that he was still on the court after the swaps, so that meant his sub was still on the bench.Bob Green wrote:There are some comments over on DBR re this strategy and Sulaimon.
