Errherm, better now. Like lambs to the slaughter (see what I did there Chris?), it will be "The Ewes" into the Devils' (secret, underground, liquid-hot magma-filled) lair. Ok...maybe not so good right this moment...

Anyhoo, the Hurricanes blow into Durham and, because it's Duke, the game has no real meaning. Our offense sucks. Our team gets sucked into the Bermuda VORTEX (BA-ZINGA! Chris! ) by the winds of November and we can't win. Nothing to play for...why bother? Sigh...so glad to have basketball.

This game is BIG. BIG in every way. For once, and it pains me to say this, but, the game might...just might...be bigger than the Tailgate. If GT loses Thursday night- scratch BIG, think HUGE! (Did y'all see where I said "might"? It's gonna' be close.)

So, we're gonna try to keep pace with this Duke Team with a Tailgate worthy of their efforts. Our tailgate punched State right in the grill (KA-POW!) when we roasted teh Pig. So...Miami deserves the same effort, we're gonna take-away what Miami does best-- Surf-n-Turf.

Weather looks awesome! Right now 18C (64F) with scattered clouds. The clouds should trap the heat of the day and temps will fall slowly after the sun sets.

More details to come but, for now, count on enormous quantities of food of a beef and seafood variety sandwiched between this:

TBCC (+7):
Appetizers: ABTs, Wings (Hot, Bacon-Garlic), Grilled shrimps;
Main courses: Roasted Beef Tenderloin, Grilled and/or smoked mysterious seafood-related edibles;
Sides: Six Pepper Pasta Salad with Grilled Shrimps, Homemade French Fries;
Desserts: Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Cheesecake, Coconut Layer Cake, Chocolate Chip cookies;
Beverages: Iced Tea and, ninety-five gallons of booze, as usual.

if you use sufficient bourbon sauce you won't know if there are raisins or not.

My wife and i will be attending, but I'm not sure who will use the other two tickets. I'm trying to convince my Dad it is going to warm up by Saturday. My daughter and grandson will not be attending. We will throw $$ in the Cookie Jar.

Update - Another cheer family of 5 adults and 3 children who will feed the jar. Total is now Cheermom +15 adults (I had the wrong number in my first post) and 3 children. I will make/bring something else (to be determined) in addition to salad, deviled eggs, and fruit because our group is getting so large.

Art and Debbie to attend tailgating and football game (assuming Debbie is not sick again).
We will bring Mediterranean dip and crackers. Debbie feels conflicted b/c our firstborn graduated from "the U". I am happy to report I have no such feelings.. CRUSH MIAMI !! SEND THEM PACKING!! GO DEVILS!!
