Here's an idea for a generic thread to follow throughout the season. I'm assuming that we'll have highs and lows along the way, affected by injuries and player chemistry (good or bad). Right now, just about everyone has our team placed at 4th, behind UK, MSU, and Louisville. I like that number. USA today is counting down teams, and it is Duke's turn. Love this quote from Jay Bilas.
"Jabari isn't just one of the most special players in the country, he's one of the best coach (Mike) Krzyzewski's ever had," Bilas said.............Coach K is going to use him like a queen on a chess board."

I'm really excited to see Jabari play, and all of our new guys. I think this team is going to be incredibly exciting to watch. I'm totally curious to see how and if Marshall fits into the mix.

He loathes Hairston. His presence on the court is a premonition of doom for the whole team.

I'm not a big Hairston fan, but compared to Loran I come across like the Josh Hairston Fan Club President. To me, Hairston has no offense and his defense is comprised of fouling. I cringed when he made a couple of 15' jumpers at the open practice because I don't want him confident enough to take those during a game.
Of course, Coach K likes him and that is all that matters.

AT least the kid can say after 4 years of being on the Duke Team, He was a Captain his Senior Year. Not everyone's college career ends up like they hoped and dreamed for.

Rodney Hood brings a skill set onto the court we have been missing at forward the past couple of years. He is a slasher and a 3-point shooter, which makes him very tough to guard. If a defender backs off a step, Hood will unleash the jumper; defender gets up in Hood's grill and Hood blows by him to the rim. It is going to be a lot of fun watching Rodney Hood this year.
