I hope this doesn't backfire...

That's just school pride. Now, if they had Julius Peppers' transcript and/or photos of Jennifer Wiley/Butch Davis/John Blake at mid-field, that might be rubbing their noses in it .Bob Green wrote:I hope this doesn't backfire...
Heck yeah, DitBD!! To me, this is ECU's and State's way of letting the heels know they aren't the only schools in NC. Of course, State has used this in various forms on publications and elsewhere for many years. I'm told that all over West Raleigh and Cary there are many signs in red and white which say something like "Our State."DukePA wrote:Heck yeah, DitBD!! That is indeed true about the lawn banners.Devil in the Blue Dress wrote:Of course, State has used this in various forms on publications and elsewhere for many years. True, but it gives them 2 losses now, just like us. If f$u beats Miami tonight and we can beat NCSU next Saturday, we head to the Miami game with a chance to give them their second loss, along with the other leaders in our division. Plus, GT heads to Clemson next Saturday, a notoriously tough place to play. A Clemson win gives GT their third loss, assuming they beat Pitt tonight. Gets a bit complicated and we need some help today and next week but, if we take care of business, the standings in our division might look very interesting two weeks from now.YmoBeThere wrote:Too bad they lost by 8 points. Also, the VT's loss to BC today makes our win seem not as great a week later.
I hope we aren't thinking of doing this with a Blue Devil head or large blue D surrounded by several sq yds of pantone 287 grass paint.Bob Green wrote:I hope this doesn't backfire...
