UNC's Hatchell has leukemia
Sylvia Hatchell, the Hall of Fame women's basketball coach at UNC-Chapel Hill, has been diagnosed with leukemia and is temporarily stepping away from her on-the-court coaching responsibilities, officials said Monday.

Prayers for Sylvia as she received treatment at Unc.

My Grandmother died of leukemia, long before I was born.

Vibes to Coach Hatchell and her family.

I hope the cancer takes one look at her wardrobe and runs in the other direction.

QFE. I'm certainly no fan of Sylvia and less of her sartorial charms, but leukemia isn't something I'd wish on anyone. :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

I wish Coach Hatchell the very best. She will certainly have the very best medical care in Chapel Hill.

It's always a shocker to hear that someone you think of as tough and invincible gets nailed by something like this. The Lineberger Center will give her the latest and best of care. We hope her remission comes quickly.

Prayers and vibes for her. I'll add additional pointy toe shin kicks to the leukemia.

Hope she returns to the sidelines quickly and in complete remission.

...there will be no reduction in the 'mock factor' on the UNC bench..Ivory Latta is the new assistant. Seriously.
