Duke welcomes ACC rookies Pitt into the confines of Wallace Wade. Hopefully, we send them home with an 0-2 ACC record. In the meantime, it looks like we have a...BRUNCHGATE!

That' right, an honest-to-goodness 12:30 PM game warrants a little Brunch action. As usual, we'll strap-on the serious feedbag just after the Devil Walk say, around 11. We'll probably re-fire the grill at some point a bit later in the afternoon either to commiserate or celebrate but, we're gonna play it kinda loose.

Weather: No worries for now! Looking pretty decent, Partly cloudy with a Hi of 30C/85F however, there is a chance of showers (beware humidity)!

A bit of house-keeping- if you please: We hate to be bitchy but (the "but" means disregard everything preceding "but"), for this and all following weeks, we ask folks whom aren't actively involved in preparing, cooking or serving food to stay clear of the "kitchen" area whenever possible, especially around Devil Walk time as that's when the "kitchen" is most frenetic.

Also, since the prep table (the tall one) has become so popular with the beer tasters, we'll be setting one up "downstairs" for those who wish to engage in beer sampling and discussion. This should help us keep our prep table open (and free of empty beer containers) and give the connoisseurs their own space.

Amended:

There should still be 6 of us but the daughters of devildeac feel obligated to contribute so #1 will bring brownies (unburned, I hope) and #2 will contribute broccoli slaw and we will bring a slightly smaller fruit salad. I will confirm this later tonight or tomorrow. None of our contributions will fit into the space occupied by the HUMONGOUS SAUSAGE LOG and large # of dollar bills stuffed into anyone's shorts .

The guys will each bring a bomber to taste/share.

The OP just can't handle it right now so we are still just trying to manage going straight to the game and home if possible at all. Even that is "day to day" as they say. Janet always guarantees him a reserved seat down at tent #1 but he can't even make it that far.
