We need Bruce to have a big season anchoring the middle of the defensive line. He is healthy so that's a start.

Who do we know of that is going into the summer injured? Sirk is one.

The only one I know of in addition to Sirk is cornerback Jared Boyd who has a recurring knee problem that will linger into fall. His career is probably over before it really ever started.
There were multiple guys held out of the Spring Game but it was all precautionary in nature. I heard a rumor Jordan DeWalt-Ondijo was hurt, but I never saw anything confirming it. Hopefully, we will be 100% healthy on defense (with the exception of Boyd) come August 5 and the start of practice. I would say something obnoxious such as, "the Injury Gods owe us after last year," but the Injury Gods are cold-hearted and ruthless bastards.

Issac Blakeney:

Blakeney has tons of raw talent and looked really good on special teams last season. Hopefully, he can excel on offense in 2013.

Brandon Connette:

Connette is a bull in short yardage situations. I love his versatility as a QB/RB/TE/WR. It will be interesting to see how the staff employs him in the post-Renfree era.

Kelby Brown:

We truly need Brown performing at his pre-injury level as linebacker has been our weakest position. I'm optimistic we will see some improvement in David Helton, C.J. France and Kyler Brown due to them being a year older, but prior to missing last year due to the reconstructive surgery, Kelby Brown was a very good linebacker. Coming back from two knee injuries is a daunting task, hopefully Kelby can pull it off.
Deion Williams and Dominic McDonald should step up and see action as well.

David Helton:

At 6'4" 235, Helton has great size and could be a force at LB. Coach Cutcliffe recently commented we need playmakers at LB so hopefully Helton will be much improved in 2013. Improvement at LB is vital so we need Helton (and C.J. France and Kyler Brown) to step up and perform.
