Obviously Section 21 and chatbot have been real pains in the asses. We've all seen the 503 connection errors, and the "Max_user" errors. I've emailed the webhost, they say it is a database issue, that the database is too large, needs cleaned, blahblahblah. I call bullshit. BUT!!! Just in case it is not bullshit, I created a NEW database only for chat. Since it is not tied into the one that we use for Ourhouse, when you log in to Section 21 you will have to enter a username. Leave the password blank. If the webhost is right, and it actually was a database issue, we will not have any more problems because our database is the size of a flea turd. If I am right, at least now I have something legitimate to yell at somebody with.
Anyway, I wanted to at least try this in hopes that the game tomorrow will both result in a victory as well as chatbot not being an ass. Let's cross our fingers.

I have changed the link on the front page as well. I'm sending everyone an email as well.

Thanks for your efforts CBB - we appreciate it. Although we both know the DB size should not have any impact on the chat functionality I hope it works and chatbot settles down for tomorrows game.

What was going on?????

Well, our webhost finally did some troubleshooting on their end and kindly upgraded our PHP from whatever it was to 5.4, and in the process killed ourhouse. Luckily I found a fix without having to wait on a reply from support.
So good news is they finally did admit to something being up on their end, the bad news is their fix fkd everything up. Temporarily.
I'm going to go with the new chat room for tonight's game. If it works without hassle, we'll go back to the old chat room for Sunday's games. (Both men and women WILL be playing on Sunday.)
