Selection Sunday March 17

Post by DevilWearsPrada2.0 » March 17th, 2013, 12:00 pm

What are your predictions of Duke's seed and where the Blue Devils will be???

Obviously, after Friday evening, and a loss to Maryland, that is a bubble team, Our #1 seed is on the chopping block!

Miami is a great looking team with alot of weapons, but their "Body of Work" doesn't compare to Duke!!

Will Duke be able to keep their #1 seed, after the Friday misfortune to the twerps, because of the overall Body of Work? Or do we go to #2 seed. The Zags resume doesn't compare to Duke!

Any thoughts!!!

What does Jay Bilas have to say on ESPN? I have been busy busy, and haven't had time to hear all of the comments and forecasts!!! Thanks!

We are a lock for a #1 seed. Miami may have earned one too.

Congratulations to Miami on their first ACC championship, regular season and tournament! Shane Larkin, MVP.... and very well deserved!

I think Miami, even with some bad losses, deserves a #1 seed.

Wow, amazing Ole Miss won the SEC tournament! Hotty Toddy!

Funny thing is... OY, they're saying "Okay, we're a 2. Who do we wish to avoid." Damn! What losers!
I'll wait for the total results, rather than open my mouth too early and remove all doubt.
:9f:
I do think Md probably played their way in.
I'll guess at least 5 from the ACC. UVA?????
There. Doubt removed.

Shit! I played early.

IMHO, we don't deserve a one. Miami does. I think we are a 2. I also think that 1/2..it really doesn't matter that much.

Ole Miss is in the Dance, by winning the SEC championship!

If we are a #1 thats Great!!! And if we are a Number 2... that's great also.

Our boys have had since 9pm on Friday evening to mentally get ready, and rest and prepare for the NCAA!

Our girls have to wait 2 weeks!!! Thats cruel punishment, IMO.

Very surprised we are a two seed. Very.
That being said, I love our bracket.

We aren't just a two, we are the second 2...Miami rated over us (no surprise to me). I didn't think there was a chance in hell we were a 1.

The bracket is what the bracket is, we play who ever shows up. Survive. Advance

(my sentimental bracket has Duke winning it all, my for the money bracket has Louisville)

IIRC, there is a fairly significant statistical difference between the performance of 1s and 2s in the tournament.

I was listening to Laettner on AM 620 tonight. Fun interview but he doesn't sound very positive about this team's chances. And I think he's right. As much he thinks of these talented guys, there isn't a single man in there with a killer instinct. They play happy. They enjoy the game and each other. But NObody holds ANYbody responsible. You just don't see Mason getting into anybody's face and challenging him.... same for Seth ... same for Ryan. I've said all year. We need a couple of guys with a streak of mean. That just isn't there at crunch time. Have you noticed? There isn't a single guy on this team that folks love to hate.

I would LOVE for them to get on a roll and shut my mouth. But, I believe it takes the likes of a Laettner or a Singler....somebody who doesn't care what you think of him, just so he buries you.

Can't help it, though. They are STILL the sort I love to point to and say they are mine! :ymhug:

Love, Ima

Wait. I thought 1st and 2nd round games were played on the "higher seed's" home court. In the NIT that is :D .
