DinK visit to Triangle area?

Post by devildeac » July 6th, 2009, 1:07 pm

I heard on some internet email account that one of our illustrious PW students will be making a visit to the Triangle area in the near future. Any truth to that or will this thread be locked/deleted and the originator put "on Holiday" or (gasp) even banned for malicious rumor-mongering? (shudder) ;) :D

There is truth in the rumor. So please - not rumor mongering threats against Devildeac, the master of Pwing.

I'm flying in Thursday the 23rd to attend CRN (Formerly DBR) Girls at the beach. Thursday is the only night in the area as we head to the beach on Friday and I have to return to landlocked Kansas on Sunday evening. (Darn that work thing!)

I'm hoping that some of the wonderful folks on the board might be available to gather for dinner/drinks that Thursday.

Also, really hoping Sue's fire doesn't prevent her from coming for the beach gathering.

[Sigh] :ymsigh:

I just don't know. It may be an 11th hour decision, if there's one to be made.

My standard response to this has been "I don't know" as I was just trusting others to get me there. I finally asked DukePA and the answer is Emerald Isle.

Oh, well cool. Maybe you can sample a home brew when you get here, new batch should be ready then.

Me three. I hope/expect to join DinK and others for dinner and drinks Thursday night, but heading to other parts of the country on Friday morning.

I mentioned the idea to my wife about meeting some of my creepy internet friends for dinner or a drink and she didn't freak out. I might be able to make the DinK meetup night.

I don't think any of you are creepy. I'm looking forward to meeting any and all of you. It will help me get through next week with a horde of teenagers. (Mission trip with 11 from our church and who knows how many from other churches.)

Dinner Thursday I assume. But not too late - I have to get home to pack and leave early the next morning. Closer to Raleigh would be better for me, but not that much difference from driving to/from Durham.

DD, you have any suggestions? The Barn is always great, but pricey. Can't believe I just said that...
