Came back from the bowl game with a cold, so it's a quiet evening at home with some fine Moravian chicken pie, baby lima beans and a salad. Will be watching the Battle of the Tigers a little later when LSU shows Clemson what a real tiger looks like!

We're doing our standard New Year's Eve party for 2 in our own kitchen. We picked up appetizer foods from Trader Joe's and Whole Foods and we're going to do our drinking at home! Our goal is always to see if we can stay awake until the ball drops, but what usually happens is we fall asleep on the sofa, wake up just as the ball is dropping, and stumble off to bed.
I hope you are all safe this evening. Warm wishes for a prosperous, healthy and happy 2013 to all!

Not much. We were going to go out for dinner, but OzzieDaughter wanted to stay in, so we just ordered Chinese. I still have to go to WalMart to buy our bottle of bubbly... Maybe I'll get it when I go out to get the food.

Moravian pie can be substituted for chicken soup as a healing agent.
Happy New Year!

Spaghetti and meat sauce and a salad with Claire and David John. Had plans to attend a Black and White dance tonight but just don't feel very festive. Shared a beer with dinner and will share another to guide in the New Year.

Happy New Year to all! Not sure how long I'll be awake; I drove back to Galveston today. It took just under 8 hrs with only one stop. Am debating between taking medicine for a screaming headache and drinking a glass of wine. Obviously I need to find a way to do both.
Special vibes to devildeac and Rolvix and all those who have experienced the loss of a loved one during this holiday season. May the new year bring healing and comfort.

Roads were supposed to be icy so stayed in and am drinking tha champagne alone. Is it a bad thing that over half the bottle is gone?
Tomorow will bring the traditional 10am walk in the woods aka the Overland Park Arboretum. The walj will be cold with snow on the ground. It will be interesting to see how many show up to walk.
