I read somewhere else that apparently, espn made the same moronic error.

Can we hang a banner?

Just get someone from a bakery, such as the Helm's Bakery, to award it to us waaay after the fact, then we can hang a banner just like the holes did for their first "championship" :D

Wasn't that the year Denny Crum allowed as how the change in NCAA rules at that time meant that it was the last you'd see of teams like Duke in the NCAA Final Four? ;;)

A fine piece of journalism. They have corrected that little problem.

The article still says:

"Neither team led by more than four points over the final 10 minutes until Cook's final free throw with 6.7 seconds left made it 76-71."

and then, a few lines later, "Every time the Cardinals scored, Cook answered. His biggest hoop was a running jumper with 3 seconds left on the shot clock that made it 72-67 with 27 seconds to go."

Last time I checked, 72 minus 67 is five, which is more than four. :9f:

I told you folks last night in Section 21 that that shot was a jumper and not a floater! :D :9f:
