While not a Twerp fan, I strongly prefer them to the UConvicts who I am sure will be joining the ACC now.

I wish the Big Ten would take them, too!
When they join us we'll then have TWO of the biggest cheaters in the country.
Love, Ima

I want the old ACC back. I do not like the 'new' ACC. Tech can stay...maybe FSU - the rest of 'em are outta here.

I want the old ACC too. As far as I'm concerned, let FSU go elsewhere.

Unfortunately, if we return to the "old acc," the conference will die in this era with all the TV money being thrown about
.

Dear Maryland,
You really wanted to play Northwestern THAT much?

Dear Cameron Crazies: Saturday, January 26th in Durham at 1PM on CBS... please do your best.

I'm just hoping this hasn't opened the floodgates. Who's next? We all would love to have the old ACC back, but we'll probably be lucky to have an ACC at all!
Love, Ima

I've read from lots of people that the players (and many fans) are not thrilled with this decision. I feel bad for the ones that are going to catch hell on the field or on the court from other schools. Unfortunately for them, they are the easiest targets.

It sounds to me as though the decision was pushed by the UnderArmour uber-booster and is all about money. Of all the recent conference affiliation switches, this one make the least sense to me. I found Gary Williams' comments particularly interesting. They felt unappreciated because the conference basketball tourney was in Greensboro rather than DC? Uh, hello? How many times does he think the Big 10 is going to have a tourney in DC? In the long move, I do not see this as being a positive move for MD. It hurts more of their sports than it helps.
Some of what Williams said sounds a lot like Arkansas' reason for leaving the SWC, back in the day. MD is not in a similar boat at all. Arkansas was the only non-Texas school in the SWC, and the entire conference revolved around the TX schools. AR was viewed as the poor stepchild. Funny thing is, AR fans were the ones who filled Reunion Arena in Dallas for the SWC basketball tourney, so the conference took a bit hit when AR left. It's not like MD is the only non-NC school in the ACC, and it's not like their fans fill over 50% of the seats in the arena wherever the conference basketball tourney is held. I hold with those who say that MD will miss the ACC more than the ACC will miss MD.

I think the band should learn "Hail to the Victors"

So how many teams does the Big Ten have now - 37?
And how they hell can Syracuse and Notre Dame be in the Atlantic Coast Conference?

If Syracuse isn't on the Atlantic Coast then we gotta kick out VT and Wake, too.

They're at least in the area of the Atlantic whereas the closest coast to Syracuse is Lake Ontario!!!
