Duke at Florida State 3:30 kickoff

Not expecting a win, but I'm surprised at the 26.5 point line. FSU's leading rusher Chris Thompson left their game with an injury on Saturday and didn't play again. No word yet on if he plays this Saturday, but if he doesn't that helps a little bit.
At the beginning of the season I had this one pegged in the "not a snowball's chance" category, now I'm not so sure. It will take LOTS of luck, LOTS of great play by us, and LOTS of errors by FSU...but I think it's possible for us to make some noise. Mostly, I just want us to show up and be respectable.

You know me well enough to know I would never concede any game before it was played, but the pragmatist in me says the main objective against FSU is to escape without any significant injuries. Yes, I want to win! But we really need to be healthy for the Clemson, Georgia Tech and Miami games. Those three games are definitely winnable. Not to get all carried away, but how great would it be to end the regular season at 9-3?
I know, not as great as 10-2.
p.s. I got the pictures I asked you about. They were in my in box all along.

A non-biased preview of the game. Nobody on this planet is giving Duke a chance..understandably. I mean nobody on this planet except the guys in the Duke locker room.

I'll be happy with beating the spread and escaping Tallahassee with no more serious injuries to our team. Of course, I'd be ecstatic if we shocked the acc/ncaa with the upset ;) .

When I first saw this, I thought you meant Juwan Thompson.
Considering the emotion of the UNC, I find it hard to imagine we come out with another upset, but that's why they play the games.
So, let's see, I thought we'd lose to Va, beat Va Tech, and lose to UNC....So, now I'm thinking Florida State is going to win big. I'm hoping to be wrong again!
No really, to win, I think you throw a knuckle ball. You put every crazy QB junk play in there and keep them guessing. I think you hit a few and you'll open up some lanes in the run game. Our backs and line have shown now they have the ability to gain some yards with a few creases. The other reason I'm hoping for some junk early, is that I hope it opens up a few traditional down the field plays. If you can get linebackers chasing on misdirection plays, corners constantly back pedaling, maybe..just maybe you can get into the 4th quarter with a chance. On defense, I think you play back. I don't think I'd blitz too often on passing downs. I'd do most of the blitzes for stemming the run game and getting them into more predictable down and distance.
Just my opinion. I think you could also make a case for another day of heavy running with just a few passes. I just hope we limit the swing passes. Every time I see it, I get worried about a pick 6. Course, I do think we could do a few more WR screens to Scott.
Awright...I'm done...looking forward to the game.

Woohoo! It's gameday. I like gameday.
The running game was awesome last week, can we repeat the performance? To have a chance to win I believe we must achieve success running the ball. We don't have to rush for 234 yards but it will most likely take 150+ to get the job done. The offensive line and running backs have matured over the season so we might just get it done. Last weeks performance could have been a watershed moment for the running game.
Next, we need to have another fast start. We started slow in early games, but seem to have hit a stride and are getting off to fast starts recently. It must continue today as we cannot afford to play catch-up against FSU.
Finally, we are going to have to catch all the breaks - turnovers, penalties, field position battle, in game injuries, etc...we need everything to go our way today at Doak Campbell to come home victorious.

WHAT!!!!
Foster gets called for interference for touching FlSt WR shoulder...touching...
Vernon gets held down the field - NO CALL- and makes a great catch and it gets reversed!?!?! His hands were under the ball the whole time... How do you reverse that...pissed...
look Florida State doesn't need any help...

Wes Chesson observed that our players are less intimidated by FL State than are the officials.

Okay....if you're getting beat deep while not blitzing, you need to send the house. Cause otherwise, it's pointless.

This is starting to remind of the mid-90's. FWIW, I can't stand the announcers.

Did the announcer for today's game on ESPN graduate from Florida State...It was a head to head hit.... He led with his helmet.
What is this guy talking about?

Hell yeah on the TD run!
I'm guessing a concussion for Renfree based on the wobble steps getting off the field.

Can someone explain the flag on the kickoff again....Does the ball have to dribble 10 yards?
