The life you save might be mine!
Those Heart Machines - Automatic External Defibrillator (AED)
We have all walked by the Red Cross sign in airports indicating where a heart machine is located. Do you know what is packed with the machine and how to use the machine?
I did not.
Watch this video and you will be much better prepared to save a life. I just watched the video and was very impressed, and so I'm sending it to my friends in the hope that doing so will save lives.

Ozzie, thanks for posting this. There is an AED on every floor of the courthouse.
If I were to win the lottery, I would give up lawyering and be an EMT or cardiac tech.

Don't forget to sing "Stayin' Alive" as you're doing the external heart compression. The disco tempo is the speed at which you should be applying pressure to the chest, and the lyrics provide encouragement to the victim.

I watched a CPR video very recently at Carteret General with some nurses on staff. I was there working on their printers, they were watching a training video. We all agreed with my expert medical opinion that the "new" way of doing CPR will kill the saviour long before it helps the victim.

If I wake up after someone has done CPR on me and I hear someone singing "Stayin' Alive," I'll be in jail shortly thereafter for attempted/murder. I hate that song. Disco sucks.

Should I ever need to perform CPR on DD, or any member of this list, I will do it while singing 'Devil with the Blue Dress'. Of course my singing may cause complications. I have a voice like a bird, but the bird is a duck...which reminds me of disco, disco duck....which I will not sing while performing CPR because I don't know all the words. I wonder if "GO TO HELL CAROLINA GO TO HELL" would work to maintain cpr tempo....

It depends on if and how hard you thump the chest on the double clap between the lyrics! Sometimes (usually) the clap, clap is omitted!

Speaking of 9%, I'm going to look for a 9% brew to drink tonight to get inspired.
