Playoff Baseball

Just in case anyone wants to post about.
As for me, I was never a Chipper Jones fan, so to see him go after last night's performance doesn't bother me one bit. The broadcasters discussed sentimentality, I'm not a Jeter fan but will be much sadder to see him go one day.
Am I being too mean?

Reds get their first playoff win in 17 years. 3 of the 4 matchups play today.

Atlanta has some reason to fuss over the infield fly, but the umps didn't lose that game for them. They did that on their own.
Where baseball is concerned (sorry, Ozzie) I bleed orange and black. My great-grandfather was from Baltimore and when I was small, he and I would listen to O's games on the radio every night.
Ymo, you are a Reds fan, right?

Yep. Apparently a really bad call. But, the Braves choked and had 3 errors and left 12 men on base and had 12 hits to the Cards six, giving up 3 unearned runs in the process.

Yes, though first and foremost I am a Dodgers fan. Sort of like Vanderbilt for me, I keep up with them and root for them every chance I get, but if Duke faces them I will hope for a Duke victory. Back to baseball, I was a Reds season ticket holder for a while. I went to a few Red Sox games during the 2007,2008 and 2009 seasons so follow them also. I've been to Braves games third most, but never was fan. Stay classy Braves fans, stay classy.

I was neutral on Chipper Jones. Not a Braves fan, although I can appreciate a player even if I am not a fan of the team. I was sad to see Cal Ripkin go and I am NOT an O's fan. Chipper...meh. Jeter? I will rend my garments.
I am the child of a woman who kept a Mickey Mantle scrapbook. I spent many a summer days (and evenings) in the Bronx. I do love my baseball.
Pinstripes all the way.
10 to 28.

Raul Ibanez just added a bit to the Yankee mystique last night.

Works for me! I mentioned to someone that they finally started a game on time, and then they play extra innings. This was in the 11th inning. The 12th turned out pretty good!

I saw the top of the 12th, so I missed it.
For me, the playoffs ended today. A very disappointing finish at that.

I really hope the birds play the birds in the Series.

The O's are still playing on house money. If they lose tonight, it's been a great year. If they win tonight, I will not have a fingernail left on either hand by next week.

I do not like the one game playoff. Having said that, there have been great series thus far.

Congratulations, Ozzie and Windsor.
I shall now go sit on the sidelines with Ymo.
I can save my fingernails for the rest of Duke's football season.
Beat VT.
