Third Down Improvement

For years it has seemed like Duke's answer (regardless of the coaching staff) has been on any third down play to aim for at least two yards short. Gawd-awful screen passes, running laterally, whatever. Something has finally clicked and we've seen marked improvement since the second half of the Memphis game. Here's Cut's thoughts.
The article talks about how the plays now for short yardage are runs vs passing for anything we need over 4 yards for..also a good step (as long as it's not a 2 yard pass, grrrrr). I loved watching in more than one 3rd and long against Wake and convert them, it was like looking into a mirror since that is usually what happens against us!
