Duke @ Stanford Game Discussion
CBS Sports has their rankings updated:
http://www.cbssports.com/collegefoot...ngs/124/index2
Stanford fell from 21 to 33, while Duke improved from 103 to 89. The ridiculousness of rankings is illustrated by FIU still being 22 spots above Duke at 67. What???

This week is going to be a huge, huge test for our defensive line. The Stanford O-line will be bigger and stronger than we faced against FIU; however, Stanford doesn't have a running back as talented as Kedrick Rhodes so hopefully our defense can be physical and force the Cardinal to throw the ball. This was not the same Cardinal offensive line that could impose its will on defensive fronts over the past few years.

Aaaaaaaaargghhh!!!!!!!!!!!With fifth-year senior and three-year starter Sean Renfree under center, and one of the ACC’s most prolific receivers in conference history, Conner Vernon, in the fold, the passing attack figured to be one of Duke’s strengths. But the Blue Devils seemed reluctant to attempt anything other than a swing pass to either the right or left flat in the first half against Stanford, trying the move 13 times. Only two of those went for more than five yards, as the Cardinal linebackers quickly figured out the game plan and used their speed to swarm the receiver as soon as he caught the ball.

I really, really, truly desire to see the offense throw mid-range passes. Receivers catching the ball 8-12 yards past the line of scrimmage would be nice. Throwing a 3 yard pass to a running back in the flat on 3rd and 9 is infuriating.

IIRC, we had 2 leading rushers for the game, each with 9 yards.
