He was a treasure! It would have been so easy for Andy Griffith to join the other stars out in Hollywood, but his love for North Carolina was stronger than the allure of the glitterati. Thank you, Andy Griffith, for making North Carolina your home, and for bringing such positive attention to our state.
Just so you know the CTN connection: One of the guys who came to our Carolinagate event in 2010 will be conducting Andy's funeral. He was Andy's minister at Mount Olivet UMC in Manteo.
