This guy sounds like he's for real. I loved his comment about wanting to "look Coach K back in the eye and be on the same page with him." Also about wanting to bring passion and be a part of the entire campus, not just to the basketball team. Now, if he can just play defense, we'll have something! What's more, I predict he'll hang around long enough to soak up the atmosphere. Bless his heart!

Love these two quotes from Amile talking about choosing the Blue Devils....
----------------------------------------------------------------"I definitely wanted to take a look at the school," Jefferson said. "Duke is a once in a lifetime opportunity and something you don't pass up on."
http://espn.go.com/college-sports/recru ... lue-devils"Once Coach K started recruiting me, I did not talk to an assistant coach," Jefferson said. "That definitely shows the coach wants you and every conversation I had with him seemed genuine. I felt like I can become a better person and player at Duke University."

I'm optimistic AJ will develop into another in the long line of versatile forwards to play at Duke. His length will be an asset. Of course, he is going to have to be given time to adjust to the speed of the college game and strength of players, but once he does he should shine. This committment excites me.

I'm digging it because I know I'll get to enjoy his talents for a few years. Forget the Shabazzes, Amile is the kind of recruit I wish we'd focus on more. I love this pickup for us.Bob Green wrote:I'm optimistic AJ will develop into another in the long line of versatile forwards to play at Duke. His length will be an asset. For those who have seen him play, he plays good defense and brings the length and quickness we've been lacking. He needs to strengthen a good bit, but there's time for that. He may not start day one, but should contribute a good amount.
