Some of you have already seen this status update on FB:

My BFF, Kim, her husband and daughter who were burned out of their home this morning. They didn't lose the house, but the damage is heavy. Kim's car was destroyed. Most importantly, Kim, Darryl and Jenna are all safe and doing okay.

I spoke with Kim twice today. She thinks they'll be in transitional housing for 6 months while their home is being rebuilt.

Many of you have met Kim at our tailgates. Please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers and vibes.

I believe we are FB friends, if it's the same Kim I am thinking of.

Thankfully they are all o.k. Big vibes from Iowa for a speedy rebuild.

That is a funny saying. I'm going to share it with my mom.

So glad to hear Kim's family is all safe, but so sorry to hear of their loss. Sending lots of vibes and good thoughts in their direction. One of my dear friends lost her home to fire and although everyone got out safely (including the cat), it was hard to think about the loss of items like baby pictures. Still, they count their blessings every day. I hope your friends find the same.

By the way, when they were closing the account at Time Warner Cable, TWC insisted on charging them for the cable box because they didn't return it, in spite of insurance reports/police reports/fire department reports. Mark went back to the ashes of their home and pulled a piece of melted something out to return and then loudly insisted the charge for the box be removed from the bill. The embarassed clerk removed the charge.

I am also glad your friends are all OK.

Oh. Oh. Oh. How frightening and sad for your BFF and her bunch. I think I know which one she is from your pictures. Have they a need for anything beyond vibes? We've got PLENTY of those and they're on their way. Holler if you hear of anything we can add. I'm thinking of all those family pictures etc, however, that can't be replaced. Do they know what caused it?
