What she said.

I am saddened. Another icon of my youth, gone.

You can tell how old people are by their reactions to this news. For instance, my 23 year old paralegal told me, "He died? I thought he was already dead."

I thanked her for making me feel even older than I really am!

Well, considering the average age of a monkey is 18-23, I guess he lived a long, full life.

Seriously though, what a bummer. Wasn't a huge fan, but seemed like a good guy, and his legacy cannot be doubted.

R.I.P. Davy Jones.

Very sorry to hear this. =(( I watched the show as a kid, and OzzieDaughter was a HUGE fan growing up. I can still see an 8 year old OD, with her next door neighbor girlfriend with the same first name (born 3 1/2 months earlier), dancing in our front yard with Pleasant Valley Sunday playing on their tape recorder! :D :x :x :ymhug: B-) I took her to see the Monkeys in concert in Raleigh at least twice, and I think three times when she was a pre-teen and teen. We saw the Beach Boys, her second favorite group, 5 times :D

Never saw them live, only on TV. You know, Mike Nesmith's mother was the inventor of Post-it notes. Doesn't matter if he ever plays music again from now on.
Davy had a good voice and seemed a pleasant personality.
RIP

Umm, I believe it was white-out, not post-its.

Post-its were invented by Romy & Michelle. ;) :D
