Pretty sure it's the first time Duke's ever done that in overtime alone; but how about ever.....period?

Can we get a Stat Nerd on this one?

When was the last time a Duke team suffered SIX STRAIGHT MISSED FREE THROWS in the same game?

Would be interesting to know. Maybe lob this one over to the the OY crowd (if they haven't already done the research).

You might not have to look any farther than the Dec. 10th game in MSG against Washington.. I think Mason took a bunch in a row, and was (I think) 2 for 14 in the game. He certainly missed more than 6 in a row himself, and may have taken more than that consecutively before he finally made one of his last tries.

Wow. Okay, thanks. I guess if you factor in one bad shooter missing all of them it's not as negatively impressive. Let me amend the question a bit:

When was the last time Duke missed six free throws in a row by multiple shooters? Afterall, that really IS what made it so amazing.

In the words of Coach K yesterday during the Post Game Miami interview........ the word is "DISAPPOINTED."

How many free throws were missed yesterday 20? Make a few free throws and WIN games during regulation, and no need for overtime play.

It seems like everyone at the charity stripe for Duke, missed free throws. And at the most critical time, also. :sigh:
