I have prepaid the $20. I doubt they'll turn you away at the door if you show up with cash!DevilWearsPrada2.0 wrote:Thanks OZZIE for the link!!!
You going tonight, and pay at the door, like we did last year? YOU Can DRINK $20 in beer!!!! I think last year was $15, but not at Wash Duke, it was on campus!
I'll bet you can eat $20 worth of tailgate food .OZZIE4DUKE wrote:I have prepaid the $20. I doubt they'll turn you away at the door if you show up with cash!DevilWearsPrada2.0 wrote:Thanks OZZIE for the link!!!

I'm not going to try to drink $20 of beer. I have to drive home after the event.
BTW, we've gotten a couple of nice "surprise" signees, including Jela Duncan and Keilin Rayner. I'm excited about WR signee Anthony Nash - 6'5", 190#, 4.3 or better speed!
Wasn't last year at the Hilton? Or was that the year before?
Looks good to me!! GO DUKE!!OZZIE4DUKE wrote:Here's a signing summary!

I'm trying not to get my hopes up that we will rock this year, so, do you think these new guys will be able to contribute right of way, or do you think they will make more of an impact in their second year?OZZIE4DUKE wrote:Coach Cut is jazzed about the incoming class! The highlights we saw were significantly better than last year! We've got both a 6'5" and a 6'7" tight end, and the 6'5" wide receiver. Our red zone offense has improved IMMENSELY with these three guys, and they can all catch! And he is very relieved to have a new kicker! And he just happens to be the #1 rated guy in the country We saw a 40 yard FG that he kicked, and from that distance, it cleared the TOP of the goal posts, right down the middle. Cut says he kicks a straight ball - very little bend in it
There are a couple/a few that will contribute next year. The kicker for sure, and the punter that we redshirted last year will both have starting rolls handed to them that they will have to lose, but hopefully WON'T! One of the tight ends listed and the Nash kid at wide receiver will probably play. The two running backs have a chance to play, depending on the health of the guys in front of them - Scott, Thompson and Snead - three pretty darn good running backs! And there is always playing time on both the OL and DL available, although with the kids on the OL that we redshirted last year, who should be ready to step into significant playing time, the incoming OL guys are most likely to redshirt, and would benefit from it. Watzone mentioned that Cut has hinted at some position changes coming that he's not talking about yet. Speculation is some of the OL guys may move to the DL. The QB, Thomas Sirk, is already enrolled in school and the plans are to redshirt him. Don't know about the DB's. The LB signee could be a big time player, but don't know when. Hope this helps!TillyGalore wrote:I'm trying not to get my hopes up that we will rock this year, so, do you think these new guys will be able to contribute right of way, or do you think they will make more of an impact in their second year?OZZIE4DUKE wrote:Coach Cut is jazzed about the incoming class! Great question, Ima. I sure hope so.Ima Facultiwyfe wrote:Did we find a new offensive coordinator anywhere out there? Last year brought new meaning to the word "offensive".
This is like trying to turn around a ship at sea. Patience, patience, patience.
Love, Ima
