Shit fuck damn.

Thank you Temple for giving K another teaching moment in January. This team is a work in progress, with lots of room to improve. Obviously. And now the point has been re-emphasized.

They must have let someone else board the bus to the airport. The boys are staying at Washington Duke Inn during the holidays. No Classes, No exams, No papers, No projects!!! Just practice and a few games!!! DadGumIt! and as Ozzie says, SFD!

Jamie K and Chris Spatola had their 2nd baby today, a Little Girl, that arrived a week or so, early. According to bob Harris, on Duke Radio, everyone is doing great. This is Coach K's 8th grandchild.

Dang, We have League play this week! Gotta do better than this!!!

Sure. Works for me! But let's hope that WE don't need it anymore this season. :9f:

I certainly hope we dont need the SFD thread this season.

Dang, those Tarholes look too good this season. Pounced all over Miami. I only watched a few minutes of the game, and flipped to the Ohio St game.... and had the USC/Vandy game online. S Carolina is just horrible. I could only tolerate seeing the score, every few minutes. They had 12 points at the half.

But seeing bits and pieces of Providence dismantle Lousiville was almost speechless. What happened to Louisville? Not that I care, and it shows that on any given day or night, a highly ranked team can just lose it. Somehow I think their Coach has alot to do with that!

I am a little ansy about the UVA game!

You guys cheer loud!!!

It was a SFD with NCState losing last night. Those Bumble Bees stung the Wolfies. I want to see State get back to where they were when Herb Sendeck was the coach!!! (Sweet 16...for all those Wolfpack Nation that wanted him to leave State).

Its great for the state of North Carolina, when the universities in NC, reign the ACC, imo. I still miss the Holiday Classic. I so remember that as a child, and while growing up. Great games during the Holiday break.

Lets Go Duke!!! Game Day! Dismantle the Cavs, or Wahoos, or Yahoos or whatever they want to be. :duke: :duke: :duke:

Well, it does show that Duke's win last week in Atlanta was a tad bit more impressive than we all thought.

I like the new GT coach. I was impressed with his demeanor and appearance (yes, appearance - but I'm talking body language and facial expressions, not his wardrobe). Funny how K is always sneering on camera (hence the rat-face jokes), but this guy's smile made him look good on camera, and very competent.

Very windy on Friday the 13th. Wind blew a poorly latched gate into the Turkmobile while Mrs. Turk was driving through. Off to the body shop tomorrow, plus conversations and emails with assorted insurance industry personnel. SFD!!

To quote EJ, "Well day-yum!" Was this at your house or some commercial facility where you can get THEIR insurance company to pay for it? Glad it wasn't worse than it was and nobody was hurt. B-)

Her office is actually a converted, restored barn, and the driveway is shared with the property next door. It's a double door gate made out of 2x4's and 2x6's that apparently once kept the cows off the road. The bossman has generously offered to cover any out-of-pocket costs. Our inclination is to decline and just play it straight by the book, since the deductible won't break the bank. Dropped it off at the body shop this AM to get firm numbers.

In the grand scheme of things, this is a minor PITA, but Mrs. Turk is still in the SFD phase. Need her to move on to resignation and acceptance, she's wearing me out and even worse, still beating herself up about it. I told her, "there's a shortage of perfect breasts in the world; it would be a shame to ruin yours..."

There's plenty more where that came from:

Ah, my memory is rusty. (perhaps Fezzik jogged it too hard). Didn't quite have the second part right...

FSU played a great 2nd half, and our D stunk on that last play. SFD.

And Rivers' 3 pt shot should've counted. Those with eyes in Cameron, what was your take? Did it hit the shot clock?

No, a shot has to be released from the shooter's hand before time expires. The shot in question was said to hit the wire next to the pole supporting the basket from above. I didn't see that, but the guy two seats over said he saw it, and other than dd telling me that the replay showed it didn't, I believe him.

Definitely a S F D moment, as was the game.
