Looks very similar to Afghanistan. Was John Denver in on this? Mountain Mamas or Mountain Mullahs. You decide.

Dude, I've totally been saying this since 1996. I mentioned it to my 9th grade worldwide geography teacher, and have been pointing it out ever after.EarlJam wrote:Looks very similar to Afghanistan. Was John Denver in on this? Mountain Mamas or Mountain Mullahs. You decide.
What was his/her reaction? Was the observation appreciated? It should have been.wilson wrote:Dude, I've totally been saying this since 1996. I'm completely serious.
What does John Denver have to do with this? I like John Denver and wish I could have met him like a buddy of mine! ;)EarlJam wrote:.... Was John Denver in on this? ....
Uh, John Denver wrote the song "Take Me Home, Country Roads." The first line is "Almost heaven, West Virginia. . ."cl15876 wrote:What does John Denver have to do with this? I like John Denver and wish I could have met him like a buddy of mine! ;)EarlJam wrote:.... Was John Denver in on this? ....

Wanna hear something sicker? My first concert was Huey Lewis with Stevie Ray Vaughn. I couldn't give a rat's behind about Stevie. I wanted to see the MAN! HUEY! That's just wrong. If Vaughn were still alive today, my approach to that concert would be the exact opposite. Stevie was "The Man" between those two (though I have nothing against Huey.bjornolf wrote:He was my first concert too! Crazy small world. ;)
And EJ, you are just sick, man.
wilson wrote:I'm still really comfortable with John Denver as my first concert. I think the man was an amazing songwriter, and I like his earnest musical style as well. I still listen to him roughly three times a month. I contend that if the right person would cover a few of his songs today, they could definitely be hits again.
And if you tell me that the John Denver/Muppets Christmas special and album are anything less than brilliant, then off with your head. Right, Lavabe?
