Well, we're halfway through the (tailgate) season and we're just getting our first early kick-off and the first true "brunchgate".

Looks to be another great day weather-wise (65F) and, let's hope it will be a great day football-wise and Duke puts it together and beats the Demon Deacons.

Because this is a brunchgate, foods will be available for noshing upon arrival. So, there's not formal "serving time".

I will be there. I'll bring The breakfast of champions - beer (the few remaining leftovers and a few new ones) and some water. I'll be leaving the game ~ 2:00 or the end of the first half, whichever occurs first. Gotta be in Raleigh BEFORE 4:30 (after getting back to Smithfield to shower and change) or I'll be in deep, deep trouble. ;)

Will check with the social secretary (ILJ) and see what's up for this weekend, besides the wedding.

Cheerdaughter's roommate of 4 years, Becca Ward, is being honored at halftime for winning the NCAA Sabre Fencing Championship this year. Her parents are coming to the game and I invited them to come to tailgate if they arrive in time.

I will make an egg and cheese strata, bring some fruit, and throw in some money if Becca's parents come.

Still "discussing" attendance. No devildeac reps will be at the game so we will have 4 tix available and a parking pass.

I think I will bring my brother who will be here for the wedding. He will not be bringing any Balls, Schweddy or otherwise. We'll start with a tub or two of cream cheese for the homemade bagels. We will not be making the cream cheese from scratch as we still do not own any animals or equipment that might make folks think we own a dairy farm. If we add another member or three to our party, we will add some alcohol-free mimosas, aka Tropicana 100% OJ. It will be from a sealed 59 ounce container and not squeezed from the orchard fruit we do not own.

I'll have a final head (and appendage) count, attached or otherwise, on Friday night. Most likely late Friday night.

Prolly by myself tomorrow. The OP arranged a flight out to Hong Kong today rather than later. DukeRah still has trouble making it through a whole game sitting straight up on the bleachers. Ima, I remembered from last year that my stuffed tomatoes create an equal amount of tomato guts..which go amazingly well in salsa! So this year I'm making salsa and a couple bags of chips would work very well with it.
