The Bryan Center is being evactuated this morning after a bomb threat.

I read this online over the weekend. The calls came from a Durham number. Thanks goodness, it was a false bomb threat, and no one was hurt or injured.

Maybe I'm grumpy even for a Monday, but they can blow up the Bryan Center whenever they want (as long as no one is in it) as far as I'm concerned.

I think it's one of the ugliest building on campus, and it's not aging well. They've done some nice things along the walkway to the quad, it's still nothing but a big ol concrete box with some fake rocks glued to it... blech.

I'm with you--maybe not a bomb but a planned demolition is fine by me.

My high school here in Ft. Lauderdale (Pine Crest) just did that (demolition) to the "A Wing" that I had most of my classes in back "in the day"'. They posted the video on Facebook. Was very sad to watch.

When it opened way back when, it was known as the BUB (Big Ugly Building).

I still refer to it as such.

They have made an arrest in the case. A 20 year old part time worker at the McDonald's in the building (allegedly) called in the fake bomb threat. Guess he wanted some time off...
