The Warren and Carlton Lewis familiars are our lake neighbors. We have know them over 30 years. Warren's son, Sneak (Warren Jr.), was shot and killed last night in the line of duty. He was Deputy Sheriff in Nash Co. He was assigned to the US Marshals. Sneak and his wife have 2 children. Sneak was in his mid forties. He was a wonderful person and a great family man. He will be missed by all that knew him.

I'm so sorry to hear this. My condolences and prayers for his family and friends.

Oh wow, I read that in the news this morning, it's even more tragic that he was someone you knew. VIbes to the family.

How sad. Vibes and prayers to the family, friends, and those whose lives he touched, and his fellow officers.

Whenever I hear news like this, I'm reminded to be grateful for how lucky we were not to lose either of us when our kids were little. All those brave, young people in law enforcement and the military are vital and precious to the welfare of so many young families. Yet they put themselves out there every day for all of us.

Sneak's family is fortunate to have you guys as good neighbors and friends. I know your thoughtfulness and kindness first hand and you are just the kind of folks I'd count myself lucky to be living near at a time like this.

We went to Middlesex to see the Lewis family this afternoon. I feel so bad for them. We are going to contribute to the children's education fund. I wish there was more we can do.

It's always sad to hear of the loss of one of those who serve the public with protection, putting their own lives on the line.
