I saw this on Johnboy's Facebook status this evening:

For those who don't already know, I had a bad bicycle wreck yesterday afternoon. 7 fractured ribs, right clavicle and right scapula fractured, slightly perforated lung which is also bruised. I'm at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.

I'm sending out healing vibes and prayers for Johnboy.

Having suffered (and recovered from) similar injuries as a result of a car accident (I broke all my ribs, my clavical and pelvis) I concur with Ima...stay away from the JOKE thread! Laughing will hurt like hell for a while. So will coughing and sneezing. Hell...MOVING will hurt for a while.

How's it going, Johnboy? Are you able to get any rest? I'm hoping the worst is over and that you are mending rapidly. Somehow, though, I think you must still be hurting a LOT!

Hey, thanks, everyone! It will be a while before I can do this , but I'm happy there wasn't any permanent damage and my pain is reasonably under control. Good drugs!

I have had to stay away from any and all humor - it's excruciating to laugh. I am still in the hospital with a chest tube until I quit draining so much fluid. I expect to be released Saturday.

Sleep isn't easy, but it's similar to when I had rotator cuff surgery- I sleep in a chair. Nights are long, especially since I can't watch anything humorous. News,sports,documentaries,animal shows, but nothing that will make me laugh!
