BEER - One syllable or two?
Forget what the dictionary tells us. How may syllables do you use when you say it? I don't think I have a tremendous southern accent, yet I believe I'm catching myself using TWO syllables to say "Beer." It's a subtle thing that comes out like, "Be'-er."

I thought there were 3 syllables (be-e-er).
Most people say that is it is the intellect which makes a great scientist. They are wrong: it is character.

Beer is one syllable, except in Yankee Stadium when hailing the vendor....then it is two:
YO BEE - YAH
YO BEE - YAH
